I’ve been thinking a lot about the latest trend in education: personalized learning. The concept is the student can choose how and when and where he or she will learn the standards. It sounds great but in theory but what does it look in practice?
This school year I am participating in a personalized learning classroom. The design lab hosts over 100 students and six teachers. One teacher from each of the four content areas and two intervention specialists. Over the next few weeks , I’m going to explore what does personalized learning look like in practical terms? What are the benefits and drawbacks?
